high timming and idle speed hi,
I bought a 1975 deville and checked the timming today and it was 18 degrees btdc. And the idle was a little high, but couldent connect the tach up to test. My question is would having the timming up that high hurt anything because i hate to change anything because the engine is running good. Also does anybody know how to hook up a tach meter to a HEI system. My tach has one green conector and one black connector. Also do i have to mess with the fuel mixture if i have to adjust the idle speed and timming or just set the idle speed first then adjust the timming.
thank you
