Hey guys,

Great forum by the way, very knowledgeable members!

Problem:

1980 Cadillac Eldorado, 368 big block. It is NOT the 8-6-4 engine.

*Car smokes heavily (mostly grey with slight blue tint) in the cold mornings.
*car heater doesn't work, but blows air through vents (not hot air).
*car a/c unit doesn't work (so I disconnected the pump), blows non cold air.
**recently had an oil change, added performance oil additive (very thick stuff),
car ran alot better for about 1-2 days before returning to its semi rough
running state. Although its still alot better than before I did the oil change.
The car felt like it was misfiring, everytime i accelerated the engine
vibrated and shook a little bit...not the good shaking an engine does, but
like an off beat shake or vibrate.
**Car has 75k original miles, sat for a while, Then i bought it, gave it a tune up, oil changes every month (less than 3k between changes).

Mainly the car runs rough in the mornings (because of cold engine im figuring) after it warms a little bit it seems to do fine. This morning especially I noticed the heavy smoking from the tailpipe. The car idles rough, the engine even turned off at one point. it would idle fine then gurgle like it was going to die and then rev back up on idle..what the heck..?????
