    88 broughm motor

An 88 caddy broughm has a 307 olds motor which most here refer too as a 5.0. But in my world, a 5.0 is a Chevy 305. I suppose you need to qualify your statements sometimes? And no, I am not talking about a 5.0 mustang motor.

And your point is? Nobody these days refers to engines in cubic inches but rather in liters. So a 302 Chevy as well as a 305 and 307 are 5 liters. So is a 302 Ford. Most rear wheel drive Cad owners know a 5.0 liter in their car is an Olds sourced motor and a 5.7 liter is a Chevy sourced motor.

Well, when u say 5.0 here, it can mean 2 different motors. A 307 is not the same as a 305. U say u got a 5.0 and the next question is, what year? And than u say it's a Chevy? Or olds?

And that's why it's important to post the year and type of Cadillac you own in your signature as you and I have done!
