    Wiring harness

Just a quick question. Is the wiring harness for the 1975-1980 Seville with the 5.7L engine the same as the 1979-1980 Eldorados with the 5.7? My Eldorado went through a fire a while back and it destroyed lots of the various connectors. I replaced most of them, but it still runs rough at idle and cuts out on take off (especially when cold, but still does it some when it's hot). Some of the connectors are still bad and one of the firewall connection "clusters" are really melted. Does anyone know if the harnesses are the same? The junkyard has two Sevilles right now...

    Re: Wiring harness

The part on the engine might be similar but the rest is probably different. They're 2 completely different cars.

    Re: Wiring harness

The harness is just wiring. I would go to the yard and scavenge as many connectors as I could, before the cars get crushed. This way you have all the pieces, and then you just need to splice them into the circuit and build you own harness.
