    1989 brougham need help ASAP!

    i have a 1989 cadillac brougham 5.0L and i was wondering where the fuel filter is located. i bought one from napa and it just looks like its a replacment insert filter like it goed inside of a canister or something. thanks for the help!

    It's in the carburator. If its like my '79, it should be on the back side, you'll see the steel fuel line going into it, remove that and the filter is in there.... a little trickey, but doable

    Use two wrenches as a counter force to the other when removing/installing! Be careful!

    Be very careful! I changed mine about 5 months ago and the threads were stripped. Fuel was leaking out of the carburetor and I had to have it rebuilt. It wasn't cheap!

    it's on the front for the 5.0.
