    1990 Brougham-Chevy Crate Motor replacement

To all, what is the easiest, pain free chevy crate motor engine replacment for a 350 tbi chevy in a 1990 Brougham. i am just looking to replace a tired motor and have some more fun when i hit the pedal. i have the towing package with the 700R4 and the 3.23 gears. assuming the trans gets rebuilt to hold up to more hp and the rear end stays together if i do not do burnouts all over the place for now. there is so much info and so many swaps that involve the LT1 and the later brooghams, but what engine am i looking for the will just bolt in and provide some more power if i were to order a new motor form sdpc or gmpart direct to have a shop swap in? what else should i look to do to make it run at its best? computer reprogram, edelbrock tbi intake? upgraded tbi set-up from holley, etc? any help is greatly appreciated. thanks

They have a direct replacement 200 hp 300 ft lbs crate all you have to do is swap the block and would be a good idea to chip it also to get the most out of the engine.. Or go with the 260 hp 350 ft lbs engine. With that you will have to probably get a chip for your computer and change the tbi injectors. But you'll have a decent amount of power. Then you can go even crazier and get the zz4 crate engine but then you'll be spending more.
