I bought my 1998 last November with 38K miles for $5,300, tax included. Has all options except the moonroof and Bose. Had just had new tires and brakes installed, so I was happy.
The only major problem I've encountered was the driver's side headlight with a loose reflector assembly. Stuffed it with foam (per someone on this forum) and finally replaced it with a new one last week. Had a minor oil drip from the valve covers, but I tightened the hold-down bolts and it no longer drips - lucky me
Had some very minor problems that ate some time, but no money - a broken wire in the harness going into the trunk lid, for example.
Installed an aftermarket radio, CD changer and Sirius satellite and all is good. Love the car.
Had a 2005 Chrysler 300C Hemi for 6 months prior - loved that one too, but had to give it back when I quit my job. Needed a car quick and found the Catera on the web. Miss the 300C, but the Catera is as much fun in its own way. :coolgleam
