I just bought a White Diamond Tricoat 2014 Cadillac CTS Premium RWD (3.6L V6) with Kona Brown (Jet Black Accent) interior.
This is my first Cadillac and I'm pretty happy with how this thing drives. Its fairly athletic and has a smooth ride.
I test drove the Jaguar XF, a Mercedes E-Class, and the Lexus GS, and it was down to between the Lexus and the Cadillac and I'm happy with what I chose. The Mercedes felt heavy and laborious to drive which then the Jaguar didn't have the same amount of interior space and was louder overall, felt like it was missing sound proofing vs the others.
I had a Lexus IS before this and I think the CTS is an upgrade in almost every way possible. Its quieter, has more power, and the adaptive cruise control feature is pretty neat. It just follows the car ahead and maintains distance without any drama. The seats are also very comfortable and the self tensioning seat belt does take a little getting used to.
My only complain with this car is the 8-speed automatic transmission feels a little sluggish and doesn't quite shift the way I think it should.
I took these pictures of the car yesterday afternoon:
