    Yes they are:

I am not sure how will this affect potential buyers of 2014MY Cadillacs. I was planning to order a 2014 CTS V-sport, but now I am not sure as the 2015MY will have some changes like the new logo and GM's new 8 speed transmission.

Yes old news to most of us around here, I was just sharing the first official Cadillac commercial without it.

I should have used a different title for the post
Title edited and changed but not showing the change. lol

I saw the XTS commercial and it had the crest and no wreath

    ----------

That means maybe the new '15 Escalade will have the new logo? I will wait till '15 to purchase another cadillac.

If this is what holds you back from a 2014 model - why not just retrofit your caddy - believe me - I am sure it will be easy as the emblems are easy to remove/ modify.

At least the commercial is more creative than any of the Cadillac commercials I have seen lately.

It's still the principle of it, if your dropping $60k-$80k on a car/SUV and they change the emblem the following year it pisses you off.

In other words it's okay to change the design but never the emblem? What a world.

I was against it at first but I'm inlove with the new emblem.

Video wouldn't play for me, but if the emblem is anything like the Elmiraj, I like it. I'll admit at first I was skeptical, but then I saw it in the Elmiraj video and I love the change as well. If the reason you don't like a car is because of the emblem I suppose that's your choice, but the Cadillac emblem has about 10-12 previous iterations in its life, so you should expect change at some point.

That white car in the picture with the doors flying away.
    Is that the new Camry?
    Maybe Accord?
Cannot tell; They all look alike anymore.

I think the concern is more one of not keeping a recognizable logo through model changes. See BMW's propeller, Mercedes tristar, Chevy's bowtie, even the Lexus L has been the same since launch. People know the cars by these symbols, so it is not surprising that some are upset over this change.

Other then Lexus, probably because it's the newest. They have all changed/modified their full logos through out the years. They keep the basic design but it is always and evolution. Cadillac is no different. Their crest is the main logo. There have been years in the past without a wreath.

The Cadillac logo has been used for more years without the wreath than with it.
    I like the 1959 logo
