    Keeping the CTS clean

I was just wondering what everyone was using for cleaning products, specifically the items below

    1) what do you use to wash/dry your car with? Everything I find leave a ton of lint. I even found this microfiber wash mitt that leaves a ton of lint. Also, are chamois the only good thing that can be used for drying cars? I personally don't care for them

    2) what do you wipe down seats with? The dealership told me leather cleaner, but whats the best kind to use? I have a few spots, I don't if its from wearing jeans, or whatever, but I don't want to just use anything. On my old car, I would use a damp cloth with ivory soap, but not sure that's good for leather

Any product links or names would be greatly appreciated

Meguiars makes a lot of care care products. I also like Zymol leather products. Use quality Microfiber wipes. Keep belt buckles away when you clean the outside. Meguiars has products in every auto store and Wally world. There are others... Google car care products..

Mothers has been the gold standard for me. People still ask if I am driving my new CTS when they see my 05 sts. That is all I ever used.

Also, how could you ever clean the rear glass below where the speaker (I think subwoofer) meets the glass. Seems impossible.

Be careful how much leather cleaner you use as if you have perforated leather seats it does seep through and destroys the foam cushion. They end up being crunchy and won't get warrantied I'm guessing.

Anybody have any ideas on drying other than a chamois? I dislike them too. I can never seem to get them dry enough in between wringings and it winds up leaving streaks.

A quality microfiber towel or two is what I use. Stay away from the cheap 3-6 pack at Autozone and similar places. Get a good one from any of the quality brands listed above...about all have them.

    Re: Keeping the CTS clean

Griots Garage and Auto Geek have really neat cleaning tools like the water squeegee to get the excess water off before a terry cloth toweling (what I use). Any of the major brands including Griots sell nice cleaning supplies. Advance Auto sells Lexol leather cleaners and some of the Griots products like on the Griot website.

Surf Griot's Garage and Auto Geek to look at some of the cool tools that make life easier. I also like the extension wand that is used to do interior windows. It can hold microfiber towel or pad and can get into the tiniest corners with ease.

This place is an excellent source of quality microfiber wash mits, detailing/polishing towels, and waffle-weave drying towels.
