Pls help me Hi there ppl
I have cadillac cts v 2009 sedan
I bought it from Dubai which is in the middle east
when i put my foot on the pedal it was ok (no speed limmiter), It reach to 325 km/h its mean 201 m/h
any way, now there is problem when the car oddmeter is 27000 km = 16777 miles. When I put my foot on the pedal the speed go up until 225 km/h and there is message show to me at the car info screen wish is "speed limmited to 225 km/h = 140 m/h". I took it to the car dealer and they are suck and dont know anything. However They cheaked the car and the parts inside the engine work great like supercharger. Vacume pressure and other things. They changed the air mass flow sensor , the actutor , the super charger belt and bypass valve. Still i have the same problem
pls help me ppl . I really disappointed i dont know what to do

Re: Pls help me
The limited speed is 196? for the stick, and 174 for the auto. I'd think that someone changed something. Did anyone do work in between? I can't see this changing just over time. Unless you have some other problem where the limiter is cutting it down? I'm guessing that the delaer didn't find any codes then?

Re: Pls help me
usually the "speed limited to xxx" is due to traction control or abs faults... getting an OBDII scanner to read the codes would be the best thing... i would assume that the place you took it did that... can you get the codes and post them here for us?

Re: Pls help me
Am really greatfull to see someone here
anyway the abs and traction work fine but ill do as u said and post the codes here in sunday cause the workshops r closed in fridays and saturdays
by the way does the tires have something to do with this problem cause i didnt change except the left rear tire cause there was nail inside it
and the car odometer is 37000 km = 22990 m

Re: Pls help me
So you changed one rear tire to a brand new tire at 37,000 km or somewhere near 27,000 km? You could have a large difference in tire diameter between the two rear tires. ABS sensor could be reading this as a slip, and at higher speeds this would be amplified. This may force the ABS calculation to exceed some internal parameters, then as RippyPartsDept said, you could be causing an ABS fault.
Borrow a pair of rear tires from someone, and see if that solves your issue.

Re: Pls help me
U0101 code means "lost communication with traction control module." I would guess the car is having a problem talking with your TCM, and it is limiting your top speed. Possibly a problem with your TCM, wiring, or the main engine control computer.
