    Lingenfelter CTS-V Pulley Upgrade

Looking to buy this kit before my tune. Good Bad? What do you think? Also, would anyone have any promo codes for mtiracing.com?

They have a god rep for some reason or another so I wouldn't hesitate a bit.

Are you just doing the upper pulley or both pulley's?

    Re: Lingenfelter CTS-V Pulley Upgrade

Im new to the forums and I've responded to this thread like 3 times now. For some reason it keeps failing on me. Anyway, I decided to buy the Lingenfelter kit. It will be here Friday and then it goes off to Abel Chevrolet to have the pulley swapped and then its going to Synergy Motorsports for the tune. REALLY PUMPED UP! They are recommending a ported snout but I don't think its necessary. What do you think? Also, any idea what the labor should be on the pulley swap? I hear its a pain?

The pulley has to be pulled off and the new one pressed on with a press. Isolator replaced and intake reassembled. Probably 2-3 hours of shop time at $100 hourly rate - double it for the name.

Snout porting increases efficiency and power slightly, but not cost effective for most people. Ballpark gains are maybe 10HP best case for $600+ of work.

Thanks Random84. I apprecitate it. Just wanted to make sure I wasnt going to regret dropping that extra cash for the ported snout. Sounds like Ill be ok.
