Mixed emotions on my new Borla exhaust
Soon after I bought my new V Coupe, I ordered an Airaid and Borla. Got the CAI first and no probs, went right in.
Next up was the Borla. It arrived with the passenger side chrome tip welded on crooked, so it was impossible to get the tips "perfectly" aligned from the rear.
Okay, I'm anal but I can live with it. About a week later the system developed a terrible rattle at about 1300 RPM. Got worse and worse.
I took it back to where I had it installed to take a look at it, found out that one of the welds on the cross braces on the Y pipe had broken completely!
Took a minute to fix it, but the question remains.
Has Borla's quality taken a down turn, or did I just get a "Monday" set of pipes?
I had installed a Borla on my C6 Z06 as well as my Silverado, and the quality was unsurpassed.
Anyone else had any problems with their Coupe's Borla?

Re: Mixed emotions on my new Borla exhaust
I purchased a Borla exhaust for the first time ever for my sedan so I'm new to them but so far I'm happy with it. The only nit pick I have is that the left side muffler had a hanger welded in the wrong place at some point at the factory and rather than pull it off the line it seems they cut the hanger off and welded another one in the right position. The polished area looks a bit messy but the hell if I'm gonna remove it to send it back. I'm actually feeling a bit of regret not going with B&B but this Borla sounds great.
