I was going to go with an Airaid 100%, but I came across a great deal on a D3 CAI that I couldn't pass up...installed easily, no tune need...feels and sounds great...much more whine. Love it!
I had an Airaid on my 2009 V that I transferred to my 2013 V wagon. No issues, no muss, no fuss, just wonderful, gorgeous supercharger whine. 9000 miles with the setup on the 2013 so far.
Just installed Airaid and a Borla and couldn't be happier. I just turned 600 miles so she's not even broken in yet, can't wait to really get on it. The whine from the S/C is now noticable. At first I was a bit disappointed with the sound from the Borla, but after a few miles, I have come to accept that they made it with a very "adult" sound. I'm okay with that.....some day I'll act like an adult too.....maybe
If you like the sound of the Airaid now, when you are ready, swap out the filter for the larger, better flowing K&N cone filter. It is much more Voupe sounding!

Just an update. I installed the Air Raid CAI. It's really got a noticeable HP increase, although my caddy only has 500 miles on her so not sure if that's me or the CAI. Love the air raid. Thanks for the input guys!
FYI - autozone carries the Airaid online. If anyone is ordering one, there is a $25 gift card for every $100 spend promo going on right now. You can buy the CAI for $340 and get $75 back (free shipping).
It's only online, and honestly I was surprised too: doesn't come in neon blue and there's no chrome accents - WTF?
You can redeem yourself by spending the gift cards on some pimp Always-at-Autozone dual-blade wipers for your V (not very closely matching the exterior color, of course) and later spring for the D3 fog lamp assemblies so people know you're a real baller.
If it makes you feel any better, you're setting down three bills for a plastic tube with a MAF sensor mount on it.
Has anyone any experience with the Halltech, APE, or New Era CAI's? I think the looks of the Airaid installed is certainly less appealing than these others. But looks aren't everything. Any feedback would be appreciated. Cheers,
i've had my airraid sitting in a box since I bought my used car. The guy had bought it but not installed. I would install it but it is not CARB compliant. Anyone here in California run the Air Raid? What are the pitfalls besides SMOGing of course?

I guess it's time to attempt an install. I thought bout putting a V sticker on it to make it look more stock... maybe it'll pass smog that way ?
I just hope nothing drops into that stupid engine bay again =/
i cut the bottom of my stock box and tunneled a custom ram air dam up. The supercharger is def louder and the Ass-o-meter can be felt for sure. It was all done by me for under $10 and less then an hour
I just bought my Airaid 251-253 CAI on Amazon for $334 shipped and Airaid has a $30.00 off coupon going on now until the 30th so not a bad deal i think!
