It would be nice to "know" the valvetrain is stable to 6600 - a spring replacement and tune would make this thing unbelievable.
Note: one poster in the above thread mentioned the "marine version" of the LSA having a lower RPM limit due to warranty concerns and the amount of time a marine engine spends at full throttle/high RPM ranges - the link below shows a fuel cutoff of 5600 RPM, but I don't know if there are any camshaft changes. Anyway, "warranty" purposes might very well explain why some people ran run these engines higher without valve float... but it also means you need to be preventative on your valve spring maintenance!
