At risk of being called a Luddite with my cars by my friends again, if you are interested in a manual transmission, get it. So few worthwhile cars have them. And the one on the V is pretty good to boot.
The V is very easy to drive in traffic.
Dude, make a decision already!!!!!!!! :)

Manual mode starts in 1st gear always
About 1 in every 6 ’09 CTS-V’s were / are manual trans (M6)
The wagon in stickshift is as fast if not faster than an auto. Reason being is the extra 150+lbs sitting on the rear wheels the wagon has. The reason why the stick is slower because its alot harder to launch it.
You can put a 12 inch wide wheel/ 345 tire on a coupe and launch like a madman in auto or stick.
Manual here. I had to wait forever to find one.
manual is what im looking for now because i know me if i dont i will be wanting one later . plus i think with something with that much power needs to be manual u can have so much fun with it .. thanks guys for the info
I have an automatic (sedan). Bought paddle shifters as well. Love the car.
All that said, if I were to do it again, I would have gone w a manual. My last car was a manual, and I miss the feel.
6Spd Manual if you like to feel the gears!
