    Rattling Noise Underneath Hood

My 2012 CTS V is making a rattling noise underneath the hood... It only does this on slow acceleration, like pulling around in a drive thru, backing out and pulling in driveways. Also I can put my foot on the brake & push on the gas and you can here it. Sounds almost like chains rattling together. I've taken it to the dealer and they are telling me its coming from the Super Charger, which they have already had to fix one time because of it making sounds like marbles bouncing around inside of it.... And it's not the heat shield for the catalytic converter. My dad seems to think its the bearings going out in the water pump. Any recommendations would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance

Unless you're nearing six digits on your odometer, I highly doubt it's your water pump. Anything is possible, but as I said, unlikely.

Most likely it's the supercharger. You don't have to scroll too far down through this forum to see similar threads and also that GM has acknowledged the issue and has extended the warranty on the blower.

Drives to dealer, replicates rattle sound, gets replacement blower under new extended GM warranty plan.
