Limited Edition...if you could have?...

If youve been following BMW lately, theyve released about a dozen limited edition M3's. If Cadillac were to release a limited edition V for 2013 or maybe the final year of this generation, what would it be? What visual changes would you want, if any? Performance changes? What about a theme? Nurburgring themed, maybe something commemorating the 1st sedan to break 8 mins? Tho, it might be a year or 2 late for that... How about a CTS-VR1? Carbon brakes, LS9, etc....

What would your limited edition be like?

they've been running with the 'fastest production sedan in the world' theme for a while, they still run the commercials even though it's false anymore.

Seems simple, make it the fastest again. The panamera already has the V in that corner, the F10 will likely extend that.

Do a CSL-type V. Carbon fiber bits, stripped down interior, wider tires, 2 piece discs (possible carbon ceramics?) The LSA is potent enough, and there's room to breath with just an exhaust and some more boost, an LS9 would be overkill and probably too expensive. Throw a $15K premium on it and call it a season.

Im not doubting the Panamera's performance, but Im curious why Porsche has never released a video of its 'ring run? AFAIK, the V has the fastest released videotaped lap for a sedan, amiwrong?
Another reason the LS9 might be a bad idea is that it would set to high a precedent for the 3rd gen CTS-V.
I love the CSL...LOVE IT! Thats the style of V-coupe Id love.

I would want a carbon roofed, carbon hood, lightened up wagon with another 75-125 hp. In one of three possible colors.

Matte White pearl, matte Diamond black (to get some of the flake thru), and matte candy apple red.

Oh and wider tires front/back for extra measure. (think wide body vagon!)

But in a race to get 4 people from point A to point B, the V would crush the ZR1 :D

Offer an NRA Edition that includes a space in the center console for a compact handgun (by eliminating the cupholders), along with holders for an extra clip or speed loader (depending on your carry du jour), and an integrated gun rack in the headliner that can accommodate a rifle or shotgun. Also, for that edition only, offer a classy, understated black and charcoal camouflage paint scheme, which could be extended to the wheels, too. Finally, a tasteful NRA emblem on the trunk opposite the "V" would be a nice touch. Chip Foose could do it justice. :lildevil:
