I'm curious about what your plans are for your 2009 V. I am excited to see some serious modding in this forum once these cars start getting delivered!
1. Staying bone stock forever
2. Staying stock until warranty is up
3. Just wheels and tint, other appearance mods
4. I'll do some modding as long as I can keep my warranty (exhaust, etc)
5. Forget warranty, I want more power! Mod hell here I come!
Chris,
You know we luv ya, just can't get comfy with that Taxicab you drive-JFWY!!!!
Back on topic, why mod it, except for exhaust and tune which may get you to 600bhp. It is the total package, buy a V1 and go 440ci with TTs if you want mad power. Of course you can always disprove everyone and figure out a way to complete a pulley swap to get you way past 600,,,
Badcad... You're sending mixed messages..lol, you ask why mod it? But you're sig says "Life is to short not to visit Mod Hell"... you're conflicted... but I totally agree, just a nice exhaust setup would suffice
V2 is a much more powerful vehicle than the V1, but you are probably right, as if I got the V2 it would not stay stock. I do think the motor and SC on the V2 are sufficient, no need to mess with either, except for the pulley swap temptation.
hey all i am e newbie had v1 and have v2 on order and have agood source at eaton that says the pulley is a press on unit, meaning it will come of with a removal tool.as soon as the car comes in i am making a smaller pulley.will keep you informed oh yeah i have all the dimensions of the stock pulley and supercharger snout and you can go smaller.:duck:
Yeah, if you take a close look at the pulley, it definitely is not integral - it is removable. For those of you goin to Monticello next week, they have a cutaway engine sittin in the main building. Take a look at it. Easily pulled off.
I'm pretty sure everyone can guess my stance on this one, but in case you haven't figured it out... MOD IT TO HELL! Leave nothing untouched! If it ain't broke, you can probably still fix it and if it breaks, it needed replacing anyway.
Pulley Tune and exhaust and maybe in future put big pulley on and run compound boost. Block should handle more then ls3 and they push 7 to 800 without a problem as long as tune is safe will be fine and same goes for pistons. Don't get greedy keep it rich and you will never blow it up.
