Track was Milan, (MICH) not known for being terribly sticky. Air was good, 70 degrees.

Those are very good trap speeds, much better than all the mags 116 and 117. Also more indicative of a cars power than E.T. Here is a list of Corvette forums top ten list for C6 Corvettes(Showroom stock right down to air filters and tires). There isn't one that hit 120mph. Notice 7 of the top 10 are LS3's.

You crossed the finish line at the same time..... 12.4 and 12.7
You got the time warp mod?

Obviously you know nothing about drag racing. The 07 treed the 09 but the 09 caught up at the finishline and by doing that was going faster at the finish.

Need to find an old set 16" wheels that will fit on the back so you can mount a set of Hoosier Quick Time Pro "Street Slicks". Probably cut .5 off the time with better 60's.

Hopefully the front wheels will fit the back as I think the rears were 19. Not much advantage in 18 drag radial over PS2. So don't expect much in improvement in the ET department.

Even adjusting 60 foot times to determine change in ET a non-torque managed V1 us within tenths of the V2. Trap speed is another arguement. The V2 should have much better ET with 120 mph traps. Definitely some torque management in the first couple of gears.

You posted recently that you got to drive a V2 and now you get to drag one on camera no less and almost handed the V2 its ass with a lightly modded 6 cylinder. I think I saw the V driver nodding off. Great launch! Is 1.7 sec standard for a xi? PS2s? Auto or manual?
Reason I ask is my wife is planning on a 335xi or 535xi auto. Amazing what opening up the turbo outlet and a tune will do.

I have absolutely no doubt the 335 AWD blew the V off the line. I test drove a friend's last week and the acceleration from a dead stop on lane merges, particularly when rounding corners, was unreal. Like riding on a rail. I have to admit now that AWD does have it's place.

What track was this at? Conditions?
yes--it was the auto---track was good. 72 degrees at the time---the car (v) hat been hot lapping so maybe it was running hot

I would say a 1.8 launch is standard...I currently have the second fastest ET, and fastest trap..for that model. But yes..with a tune and pipes-that AWD is almost impossible to beat light to light. still can't wait to get the V tho--different animal altogether...

You don't happen to know what the 60' time of the manual was on the 12.3 run do you?

Your 335 runs sweet. Made the "V" look tired. It must be a fun car at stoplight runs.
The Caddies had mean top ends. Thanks for the vid.

That vid makes me want to get a 335. So it's a 335ix auto(step) coupe with relatively minor mods and street tires? You must have basically been ahead of the V all the way to ~100. That's the kind of driving that's important to me. Seems like the V is just begging for AWD.
