One Suggestion to inprove interior appearance

I think the V2's interior looks better than the base CTS because of the glossy black center plastic rather than the champagne color. To me however, the faux carbon fiber trim along the edges of the center console and across the dash on either side extending onto the doors, looks cheesy.

It would look better if all the trim were glossy black.

Better yet, GM could offer real carbon fiber throughout as an (expensive but really cool) option like Audi and Porsche do.

    Opinions?

Krylon Fusion Gloss Black, I guess...

Personally, within a reasonable range of finishes I don't care much. I ordered my M5 with the bruyere club wood trim in preference to the brushed metal, but either would have been acceptable. Piano-finish gloss black looks great on day one, but it better be really stout stuff if it's going to look good in five years.

What's most grotesque is brushed-aluminum-look painted plastic, where the finish wears off in a couple years and leaves some funky-colored plastic showing through behind it.

There is a black stained wood trim coming soon to replace the faux carbon fiber (Black Saple?). I really wish it had been available from day one, but the carbon fiber (type?) trim doesn't bother me and doesn't really stand out to me.

Same here; I hope there will be a clean way to swap over if/when the parts become available.

I know what you mean, I've been eying the trim to see how easy it would be to pry off......

At least the center console and dash beltline pieces seem to come off relatively easily, judging from the CTS lockpick installation video...
