    ZL1 supercharger lid

are presently not available....however when they do become available (hopefully soon) I will have them at $322.00 (that includes the gasket you will need). dont be fooled by the handful that are on Ebay currently at much higher prices! have a little patience and save some $$'s. send me an email at lbutler@lindsaycadillac.com and I will let you know when they start arriving again.

and for those who don't know, the ZL1 supercharger lid provides better cooling than the stock V cover.

    As usual, Lindsay rocks.

    Great price on the lid.

Note that some modification is required so that the lid doesn't kiss the hood of your car.

Does the stock engine cover fit? What has to modified and how?

Stock cover will not fit unless you cut it or put extensions on the mounting posts

The ZL1 lid will fit under strut bar, but you need to massage the front of lid for hood clearance. Some people have used a dremel, some people have lowered their engine, some people have changed/massaged their hood, some people have had their lid machined by a professional shop, etc.

The front corners need to be rounded or the inner hood structure peened out a little. You won't mess up the hood itself either.

Can somebody explain why the ZL1 hood make a difference in performance? Also does anyone have any pictures on what has to be done to make it fit our cars?

For one the intercooler brick in the ZL1 lid is larger than the V lid giving better cooling and lower IAT2 temps.

better cooling makes sense, but not 20 hp worth for such a small increase in size.
