If you have an engine problem, I would put the stock lid back on before taking it in....alot of dealers would say that the non-stock part could contribute to the problem. However, they would really have to prove that it was the cause of the problem if it came down to it.

They must say/prove that it did. NOTHING voids a warranty, they may just decide NOT to cover a certain repair.

Would your service dept install it? And for the guys that chime in and say I should do it myself and not be lazy....I live a condo building and I'm not allowed to do those kinds of things in the garage.....

Doubtful if it involves modifying the car to get it to fit.

    Re: ZL1 supercharger lid

Could someone please post pictures of the slight modifications required, i.e., grinding of the front part of the lid or making indentations on the hood liner?
    Thanks

I thought that the red ZL1 "plastic cover" only required hood clearancing like mine did.

It's not the plastic "beauty cover". This is the actual supercharger top.

What part of the blower lid has to be trimmed? I'm thinking that it might be easier to just trim the hood bracing if rubbing is a problem.

Could somebody please post a picture showing what part of the blower lid or the hood has to be trimmed? I already ordered my lid and would like to have the trimming done before taking off the old lid and replacing it with the ZL1 lid.
