    Rusty Rotors...

    Rear rotors are rusted and literally drip rust on my wheels....Bringing it next week to see if covered...What are the odds??

    Just using the brakes keeps the rust off - sounds like maybe your rear brakes may not be working .... ?!

    Not the friction surface itself but the hats....rust on rotors shakes off after use but the hat rust is just plain ugly and shouldn't be acceptable on a 70k car....maybe a zinc cleaning by the dealer could help mitigate problem.

    Unpainted iron rusts. You can paint the hats to keep it from happening.

    What is "zinc cleaning"?

    I believe the zinc solution will break-up the rust....at least that's what I read.

    Just pulled the rear wheels and painted mine with caliber paint. They look great now.
