I have D3 comp springs and the car launches fantastic. Plus the car sits perfectly on 20 x 12 rears and 20 x 9 fronts.

My understanding is that the Eibach springs do not work with the magnetic ride control because they lack the necessary rods. D3 springs are the only lowering springs that work properly with the factory magnetic ride control settings.

    Re: Lowering Springs

You just need to adjust the length of the rods some to make it think it's at stock height. In other words, fool the computer.

The ride is ok I think I am gonna put back my stock springs and maybe just
Cut the rear spring half a coil like i was gonna do from the start I like the way the front sits
In the front on the stock spring it's the rear that I don't like now for some
Reason 2009 and 2010 have Different springs then 11s and up
My friend has a 2012 with stock springs and it looks good my 2010 looks
Like it has a hi rake in the rear which I don't love to much

They have different springs? I cut my stock ones 1/4 on the right, and 1/2 on the left to get it perfectly level.

    Re: Lowering Springs

    Hello,

Give us a call and we can get you setup on our D3 competition lowering so you wont have these issues. Its the proper way to lower these cars rather than cutting the springs.

    Thank you,

    Re: Lowering Springs

There is a recall for a tie rod nut. Check and make sure this didn't come loose. FWIW, I cut my stock springs and the car rides great. It is significantly lower than when I had Eibachs and I have no issues with the mag ride. But I never had issues with the Eibachs either.

    Re: Lowering Springs

Understood. Ride quality is certainly subjective. However when we designed these springs we certainly tried to design them with ride quality in mind without compromising performance at the same time. Maybe there is a local V owner near you that has the D3 springs that might be able to give you a ride.

    Thank you,

2010 and 2011 cts-v spring different? How? Never noticed that.
And isn't is extremely dangerous to cut off stock springs?
