Free Exhaust - What would you do?

I've been doing a lot of looking today and have found many opinions on exhaust changes/upgrades, but I have a different approach and question I'm hoping to get some help with. To begin, I just purchased a used 2011 CTS-V sedan 31 days ago and I made it exactly 30 days without having an accident. No, it wasn't my fault and it had nothing to do with power. I was rear-ended by a young girl messing with her radio rather than looking where she was going and /or stopping. Well, upon getting an estimate this morning I learned that the repairs include about $2000 for the exhaust so I am now looking for input on what I should replace the stock system with. I do not want to void the warranty, but I do want a more aggressive sound. Living in CA, I need to keep the car legal so I can keep it registered so I'm guessing a CAT back may be my best option? Looking for input and recommendations that will give me a good sound, but not so loud I can't hear the stereo? I will most like add the Air Raid CAI at the same time. Insurance is going to be paying for an exhaust, I might as well get the one I want, right?

Thanks in advance for any input on the repetitive topic.

Go with a CAT back system. several to chose from.

But what ever you do, Be sure to ask for DIMINUTION IN VALUE TO YOUR CAR for the 15-30% reduction iv overall value because of the accident. WHO WOULD BUY YOUR CAR WHEN THEY CAN GET ANOTHER JUST LIKE IT THAT HASN'T BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT FOR THE SAME PRICE.

    Good luck

Thanks for the Insurance info. Do I seek that value from the carrier of the insured person that hit me? Do I also seek a reduction in cost of my insurance since the value of the car is less?

Call your insurance carrier - they will deal with the at-fault person's insurance for you. You will want to review what your carrier offers you: some will work with you, others may just tell you to stuff it.

Realistically, the reduction in value of your car is almost miniscule compared to what you're paying for "uninsured motorists" so any reduction in your monthly payment would be almost negligible. Yay for open borders (and more expensive healthcare).

Better check to see that its CARB approved (Corsa), I don't think the Air Raid has that nice shiney CARB sticker.

Corsa sport, you will love it. AIRAID is awesome and easy to install. Nice and quite to keep everybody happy, but when you stomp and steer, everybody knows you are the big boy on the block.

No need, the mufflers aren't considered part of the emissions control system...
