Need help as to where to start

Just got my v wagon the other day, and wanted to do some light mods, i was thinking cat back or axle back exhaust, an intake (but have no idea which one) and maybe a larger heat exchanger? Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated....

Start with a cold air kit. Your choice. I have an Airraid. Others like different ones. Start there.

I have a Hennessey CAI. Not worth it. Get an Air Raid.

If you go with the D3 intake, you'll want to also purchase D3's D-tronic Tuning module. That will ensure that you do not get a CEL.

Not the whole warranty. Just the drive train.

I doubt it. I'm not an expert, but the D-tronic module doesn't overwrite your OEM tune, it just fools the MAF. Not much can go wrong by just adding an intake anyway.

Full disclosure, I'm running an Airaid/Diablosport combo.

Magnusson-Moss Act is your BFF for warranty stuff.

Cold air intake, upper pulley and a tune. Exhaust is not a choke point. If you want more rumble just add DMH cutouts. Press the button and go from mild to wild. Nice.

Exhaust not a choke point? Have you seen the stock exhaust? Crimped pipe. And cats that melt with an upper pully. Stock intercooler is not large enough either with an upper for more than one pull.
