Pictures of inside of 1.9 Supercharger needed to compare with Ported one

I am having my Blower and Snout ported and all the rough edges deburred to increase flow. The service tech took several pictures AFTER the work was done but failed to take any before he started.

Does anyone have detailed pictures of the inside of the blower for comparison?

Google is the first place I looked but there were no pictures of the bottom side of the blower or good pictures of the points where the bolts are.

V locity gets the "at a boy award". That's what I needed. Looks like you had your blower ported also.

LOL... I did have mine ported, but that's a pic of a blower from Jeremy Formatto.

All that grinding gets you ~7hp?

Ported blowers are typically 25-30 ponies...

Does your net boost drop a bit due to lower restriction after porting? If it does, and you were to make up for it through pulley size to get back to where you were, could the potential gain be more than 25-30 HP (after re-tuning)?

I am hoping for 25-45hp. The dyno will tell me for sure.

Re: Pictures of inside of 1.9 Supercharger needed to compare with Ported one

Actually, all things being the same, the boost will go up. Bigger straw on the front end and still the same flow on the back end (heads & exhaust), kind of a constipation. LOL

I have 100% stock heads & exhaust and see 18 lbs of boost with a 9.1/2.5 combo. Others with my same setup and just headers, drop to ~16.5. Add good flowing heads & that's down to 15ish...

LOL, thanks. For some reason I thought less restriction downstream of the blower would lower net boost. But whatever--there's more power!

I lost 1psi of boost and gained 26WHP after porting blower, snout and TB.

Did you change anything else, like on your exhaust?

I'm no expert, but it seems to me that the more you open up your exhaust, the less boost you get.

I have always been a big fan of the concept that says " you need a well balanced engine package to get maximum power" In other words, having a monster carb on a small engine isn't going to get you monster power unless you have a supporting cast of parts that complement each other. = a balanced package.
