As soon as I start driving it doesn't take long and its up to 165. If into boost it will go up to 200. Timing is pulled at 140. This can't just be summer can it.

That's too hot even in summer.

Should come within +/- 10 degrees of ambient outside temp when driving on freeway.

80 outside, my IAT about 90 when cruising.

May spike to 140-150 sitting in traffic.

I've got an upper pulley. So know its gonna be higher than normal but this doesn't come down real fast either. Iguess a larger inter cooler and pump is a must.

There are a lot of things that could happen....there could be an air pocket in the system that stops the pump. Blowing air from the fill area in creating pressure can sometimes clear the pocket and start the pump. I would first check to make sure the pump is working......you still under warranty? Even with mods, they might cover the pump if it fails.

First check and see if your pump is working. I would recommend a larger heat exchanger at least. This will help bring temps down quicker.

I have a 2.5 upper and a Fluidyne HX and when cruising I'm 10 to 20 degrees over ambient. The temps will creep up when in traffic though.

I'm on 8.6/2.5 and my IAT2s are normally between 20*-30+* over ambient in LA traffic (rush hour). I sometimes see 135*-140* temps, but this is on hot day w/ heavy traffic. Normally not a big deal since it's daily driving and the fastest I go on the streets is 30-40 mph (if I'm lucky). When I get on the freeway, and it's light, the temps do go down quickly. If your pump is good and/or no air pockets in your system, I would look into a bigger h/x and pump.

Pump was working. I had major air pockets in the system. I bled it and everything is normal now. Thanks to all. I'm ordering a larger intercooler now.

How are you monitoring your IAT2 temperature? Aero force gauge, dashboss?

I use a Diablo Trinity to read IAT2. I bled the system by running the car in idle with cap off. While the air bubbled out I added coolant. The cap is located on the passenger side near the firewall.

Then yeah, that is a pretty high IAT2 reading. Any new developments after bleeding the system?

After bleeding it. Its been great. Its 100+ ºF out here in NM mid day and I don't see above 136 while in the boost. Just driving around with a little boost here and there it will drop to under 120. Less than 20º above ambient. But I already panicked about the whole thing and order Kooks headers and a Track Attack Hx.
