Recommendations/Pictures of Sedans with wider tires???

I've seen several posts regarding upgraded tire size combinations for the sedan, but I haven't seen any pictures of what these bigger tires actually look like on the CTS-V. I'm going for upgrades at 21st Century Muscle Cars in about a week and expecting to have 600-650 rwhp. I don't think I'll be happy with the stock 285s, so I'm thinking about upgrading. From what I know so far, I'll probably go with RE-11s, but I've heard various opinions regarding 295s, 305s, and widening the stock rear wheels (and possibly going with an even bigger tire). I am open to having my stock rear wheels widened if it will help put the power to the ground. Any suggestions regarding "the best" tire size combo? And, more importantly does anyone have pictures of what their combo actually looks like?

Check out the 1080 wrap thread of mine in appearance. The last pics I posted are with 305 30 19 rears and 265 35 19 fronts.

They are a little shorter than stock. So if you like the beefier tire look stick with the 295 35 rears and 255 40 fronts or maybe 275 35 fronts.

I am using the re11s by the way. So far I'm really happy with them.

I'm installing some Pirelli PZero 305/30/19s in about 2 weeks on stock wagon rear rims. Ill take pictures when it's done. Got them slightly used from a friend for super cheap so it'll give me some rubber to burn up lol

If I really wanted to go to 305 in the rear, I'd sell the stock wheels and get some nice TSWs or such in 18s, 19s or 20s...at 10" wide rears...

    Hello,

Here are a few images that might help you make some decisions.

This is a picture of a car with widen OEM sedan wheels on a 305 tire. You can see that with the wheel being the proper size, it really flattens out the tire and gives you a much wider footprint.

Here is another picture of a sedan with a wide body that allows a 345 tire. Obviously this would require modifications. But the point is that you do have options.

When you run the rear 9.5" wheels up front, do you use spacers ?

Can I get alill more details on the running with 'widen OEM sedan wheels' on a 305 tire? What or how did you widen the stock wheels?

I purchased my 2012 V sedan 'bout 6-8 months ago and like this idea of wider foot prints.

We basically take you front wheels and get them widen to a 10.5 width and mount them on the rears and take your rear wheels that are 9.5" wide and mount them to the front. We design the 11mm spacers to make the 9.5 clear the front calipers and also get the widest stance possible with out the wheel hanging out the front fender or sticking out. As far as the process of the wheels being widen, We basically split your barrel and get extended barrels weld it back together.

I wonder if anyone tried coupe rear wheels on the front of a sedan. That would eliminate the spacer.
I'm running coupe rears on the rear of my sedan. They work fine on the street. I'm hesitant to try in on the track, as I don't want any rubbing, or even a chance of rubbing.

I did not have the wheels widened. I think it looks great and they stick pretty well with 609 whp!

The irony here is that both pictures are of the same exact car. :-)
