Having stage one mods done and thinking of adding a HX to the mix. The cars is going to a reputable shop but about how many shop hours does it take to install new HX? Just wanna make sure I dont get ripped off in the quote. Is totally nessacary to do a HX if 540RWHP is about the max she will see? I know aftermarket is always better but is the stock one that bad for a few mods?
This is correct. But to add, the thinner the cooler is also, the easier for air to flow thru it at lower speeds as well. Which is why it is good to keep your stock one in place when you add another one.
Labor to put them in for shops, I would say depends on what kit you get. Some require taking off the bumper, some don't. Some require bolting into your support beam, some don't.
Car does not get tracked, wifes car. Maybe a few highway blast a couple times a week on the way home. Car will never see an autocross or if does a drag strip once in its life. Still worth the extra money?
