    Re: torco?

I don't run any octane boosters in either my '87 turbo Buick or my Cad V2, but if I did, it would be Torco.

I do - it will keep detonation away. 1 can in a full tank will keep the knock away...

You can pick up a case for about $90. Comes with 6 cans per case. I use it if I'm getting on it hard...

If your going to make a qtr mile run, place 1 can in a qtr tank and get close to 105 octane...

    Re: torco?

My '87 turbo Buick has a AlkyControl methanol kit on it. I'm running about 23 lbs of boost on the street.
Good for 12.7 1/4 mile with really crappy a6" street tires. With a few bolt-ons natch.
Lays down about 325 RWHP last time that I dynoed on a Dynojet.
I might do a meth kit on the Cad.

    cbluerock,
What mods do you have on your v and did torco allow for more timing?

Used to in my 1st gen V, but not anymore--not really needed.

    Re: torco?

Torco deffinatly works and we sell a bunch of it. It's not 104 though, I can run a few degrees more timing on 104 than I can on torco. I feel torco is close to making 93 octane 97-98. Straight 104 even outdoes 1 can to a half ctsv tank.

    My mods are:

    9.55" Innovators West/Metco Pulley
ARH - Long Tube Headers with no CATS
    Air Raid CAI
    160 thermostat
    New plugs / wires
    Custom tune

Torco is my safe guard if I'm running it on the track or drag strip. Especially in warm weather when our knock sensors detects an issue. It will pull timing quick. The higher octane you run, the better you are....

We could have put more timing in my tune, but since I'm a daily driver - I decided to stay with 530. Wasn't worth another 30 more...
