    Beating Godzilla

What would the fewest mods needed to beat a stock Nissan GTR??
    I have a 2011 V, say if we have a drag race from 0-60 and 0-100 mph?

Depends on the year GTR. For an 09 (can't use the launch control without voiding the warranty) or a 2010 (doesn't HAVE a launch control) it's not hard. At the dragstrip I beat my buddy's 09 with an upper pulley and a tune on drag radials. Now for an 11 or newer you're gonna need a bit more.

I strongly advise against racing a GTR off the line. What year is the GTR? 2007-2009 I believe they made 480-485hp, 2010-2013 530-545hp. If its an older model I say it's a good race stock to stock. Intake, pulley, and tune you got him. If its a newer model I would suggest an intake, upper and lower pulley, tune, and cam or headers. If you really want to race off the line I strongly suggest drag radials. Good luck

As someone who has had both, I would say there alot of factors. On the track, you would need slicks definitely, and a good bit more power, especially if it is a 10 or greater. I recently ran my friends 13, and it was brutal how bad the car pulled on me. The shifts in the car are far sharper than ours as well, which is going to allow him/her to keep the power to the wheels more consistently. You would want to run them at the strip, and you would need a good whole shot, and a solid pull through 1/2 to get some length on them. After that, their shifting, and being in the boost is going to play to their advantage, but with decent power, you should be able to hold them at bay. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iXPTKBmr6NU

It's a 2010 he has, and those turbos are just ridiculous, the pull they get is crazy it's almost like I'm standing still.

    Re: Beating Godzilla

Beating them from 0-60, even to 100, on the newer models will be almost impossible. They have AWD and , they turn under
3 seconds from 0-60. Even if we modify our cars, getting them off the line that quick is tough. We have a better looking car far
as I'm concerned, but I do plan to buy a '15 GTR when they come out. Hope they get a face lift. Cecil............

Not to mention they are verrrrry "moddable" just like our cars.

From a roll you will be a be able to keep up with minimal changes however.

They aren't called Godzilla for nothing!

Don't feed into the hype. Yes they are really fast out of the hole but not unbeatable. If you can hook on the strip with your auto, you should be good against a pre-2012GTR. Cut a 1.5 60ft and you're in really good hand if you have a pulley/tune. The newer ones...they're FAST .

    Re: Beating Godzilla

That whole "if you can hook" thing is a mighty big IF. Off the line is the worst conceivable way to race a GTR, as they are literally one of the best launching stock production cars in the world.

Basically, you are never going to be able to beat one on the street, from a stop. On the strip, on a well prepped track, with a pair of giant drag slicks, you might have a chance if you can hook up. Don't forget, even the original stock GTR from 2007 could do 11.7 @ 120+, which is faster than the CTS-V. The 2013 GTR is running 10.87s completely stock.

Cut a 1.5 60ft? Really?!?!? That's the goal to beating one? A 1.5 60 is awfully good with these cars...

1.5 ish 60fts have been achieved. The faster bult Vs that are hooking have seen 1.4s. You should know this you have been around a bit. If you eliminate their avantage on the launch then the rest is a toss up.

    I had a 2013 GTR...

You dont have a chance 0-60 or even 0-100 against a new GTR
