    Thumbs up V locity's 2011 CTS-V Stage 1 Dyno Results

    2011 CTS-V A6

    Thought I would share my results for those interested in a stealth type build;

My global objective was to keep the car's look, sound and feel stock. That is except when you mash down on the pedal

•100% STOCK Manifolds cats and exhaust!
•STOCK Airbox with LPE Tube and KN Filter
    •KDI Ported Blower and Snout
    •G-Force Ported TB
    •LPE GT9 Camshaft
    •Manley Dbl Springs
    •ID 850 Injectors
    •9.1" Lower Pulley
    •2.55 Upper Pulley
•Alky Control Meth Kit Pre Rotors
    •Katech Heat Exchanger
    •TR7-IX Plugs
    •G-Force Custom Tune

Two different "warm" baselines were 450ish @ the wheels:

Pump GAS 93 Octane SAE Corrected #s
    612 RWHP
    603 RWTQ

Pump 93 and Meth SAE Corrected #s
    637 RWHP
    619 RWTQ

Pump 93 and Meth STD #s
    652 RWHP
    633 RWTQ

    This car sounds stock

    vlocity-1.jpg

    vlocity-2.jpg

Stage 2 for me, if I make that jump, will be a 102 intake/TB/snout, Heads, Headers w/catted Mid pipe. I would think that would add another 75-100 HP. Right now, just getting used to the new found power, and figuring the best way to get it to the pavement, is a blast

Did you add timing with the meth pull?

Did you do a "baseline" "bone stock" run on this before the mods?

I'd guess so. G-Force tuned the car & I was not there, but he indicated he tuned it to the meth. I will find out & let you know.

I had two different base dynos... one on a mustang & the other on the dynojet. after she was warm, both pulls were in the 450s.

Here's a link to the mustang baseline:

    Re: V locity's 2011 CTS-V Stage 1 Dyno Results

Sure, it was 440/440 on the dynojet. However, they stopped it @ 5700 rpm & it was 98* outside. Looking @ the other baseline, it was similar hp @ that rpm. So assuming they had run it up to 6100 rpm, it should have been @ the same level. This is why I say the 450ish mark. To many variables...

    Re: V locity's 2011 CTS-V Stage 1 Dyno Results

I just got done having lunch with Vlocity. Big plates of Texas BBQ for both of us. I also got a fun ride in his car. All I can say is good thing I ate after the ride and not before. The bitch screams and lunges big time. Kind of like a girlfriend when you are doing her from behind and you hit the wrong hole. Holy crap - super scary fast. What makes it so crazy is that it is totally stealth. Does not sound like a cam is in it or anything else special, no shake, no vibration. Sounds like as normal CTS from behind. Remove the V emblems and no one will know what hit them. Seriously, step on the gas and the thing just flies! All I can say is Wow! Great job on the build goes to G Force. Congratulations on a killer ride to Keith. Now, get those fat sticky 305's on the back end and keep it on the road.

    Re: V locity's 2011 CTS-V Stage 1 Dyno Results

It was done at the same time as my mods, so a before & after doesn't work in my case. I can tell you that in July, in Houston, I'm logging ~100* IAT2s before pulls & 130* IAT2s at the end of the pulls with almost 18 lbs of boost. The only upgrade I did was the Katech. No bigger pump & no tank.

Man those are way better then what I'm getting now (stock HE) I'm running ~15psi and I'm getting AIT2's of 170 deg on pulls to 140mph. I like the way the Katech HX goes in the stock location but was afraid it would not be good enough to fix my problem.

    Re: V locity's 2011 CTS-V Stage 1 Dyno Results

I picked it because it ran in the stock location which IMHO, had several bene's for me. Ease of install, made use of the Rad Fans for cooling in rush hour traffic, & no danger of trashing the HX if I were to hit a curb or parking stop. It also has a bleeder which eliminated air pocket issues others have had...
