So what is the cost of this system? As for the water tank you said "The water tank mounts to inner fender well on passenger side behind bumper cover.". So you would literally bolt the tank to the plastic fender liner? Its not bolted with a bracket to something more substantial?

    To mtirc6z,

Nathan brought the tread over to this site so heres the new link for the bumper removal.

    Paul,

How's the Katech work compared to the stock HX. I have one in my garage awaiting install...

    Thanks

Can't say how well the Katech HX works as yet because it's getting installed at the same time as a cam and lower pulley in a couple weeks, that's why I'm also considering doing a larger expansion tank at the same time. Currently I'm in the process of accumulating all the necessary parts (C5R timing chain, idler, belt, and maybe an expansion tank).

    Cheers, Paul.

PS. tbauer, thanks for the link.

Here is a diagram to show a passenger side installation.

You have the flow backwards. The water flows from the heat exchanger to the pump to the intercooler.

DOH you have to admit it was a nice sketch though.

And the revised sketch is also nice, but it's not the way I would plumb it. The water exiting the heat exchanger will be at its coolest temperature, and should go straight to the intercooler. By sending it to the tank first, you give it more opportunity (and time) to pick up heat.

That makes sense and I cant argue with you. Either way will work with existing kit. Formed hoses are very long and cut to fit. The V is first I have used this in line tank. If it were up to me I would change entire setup to match the after market Super Chargers.
I was basing setup on how we did the Super Chiller on the CTS V with tank after the Super Chiller. With AC on we don't use HX and water is around 50dege .
I have to give this some more thought. On the XLR V Super Chiller we added a big reservoir just before pump. IMHO the CTS V is all out of sequence and why its so hard to bleed.
You just want me to have to make another sketch! LOL

Hey Dave, looking forward to receiving your product.

So if I'm understanding this correctly what I should do is:

Exit from HX goes to pump and then up to inlet of S/C (this routing already exits from factory?).
Exit from S/C (aka,. the intercooler) to the top mounted filler (this routing also exists from factory?).
Exit from filler goes to new HX tank mounted on passenger-side inner fender.
Exit from new HX tank goes to inlet side of HX.

    Does that sound correct?

And can you ensure all the appropriate hoses and connectors/clamps are provided to do this?

    Cheers, Paul.

Outlet of HX goes to top of tank using formed hose.
Outlet of tank goes to pump using length of hose.
Outlet of Blower goes to reservoir with cap using formed hose.
Outlet of reservoir goes to existing hose.
Reuse spring clamps and sock from existing blower outlet hose.
Hardware and extra fittings are in bag.

I have this original kit and you will be satisfied but I really suggest the chiller,I'm running a 11.30 flat with just a 9.55 lower,Airaid intake,id850 ,160 therm,I know I can pull two more 10ths with running the inter cooler temps at 45 deg with drags.
