i have a couple of questions that i would appreciate greatly if answered. keep in mind that i live in the middle east which means i basically live in an oven :P is this a replacement for a heat exchanger? and my second question is how will it work if i had it on an aftermarket heat exchanger such as kdi or D3?

No problem - This works with any Heat Exchanger that fits like original. Super Chiller is in line all the time even when AC is off. When AC is on the heat exchanger is bypassed by diverter valve seen in center of picture. When AC is refrigerating water the Heat Exchanger would only add heat. Heat Exchanger is only needed when AC is off or say AC were broken. If AC were on all the time Heat Exchanger would not be needed. Super Chiller will work as well as your AC. In Fl we don’t see any loss of AC performance in middle east I don’t have any first hand info. I would defiantly go for the Vortech Tank upgrade. It may be possible to get a bigger tank, once AC Chills all that water it holds its cool very well and the more water the better.
On the V series cars I can go 30% larger on Super Chiller Core also. I have only done the 30% one time on a XLR V so I can’t say if it helped much

This looks great, am definitely interested, though how does this work you have a CAI which extends down below where the factory air filter sits?

Is there enough space to fit the unit there or would i need to relocate it somewhere else?

    thanks

    btw.. how do i order?

That figures! Rich had a very nice CAI box under hood, I didn’t think about more conventional pipe with filter on it.

If you move Super Chiller much that changes hoses. I don’t think there is room on same side of car for chiller and a big air intake. I didn’t look into mounting Chiller same except on passenger side and I don’t have a car here. AC is on left so I just mounted Chiller there; if it mounts same on passenger side it would just take longer AC hoses.

Another solution would be the CAI Box under hood, it was a very good setup sealed from under hood heat and there is plenty cold air getting past Chiller. We try and do the very cleanest install with as little modifications to car as possible. With Super Chiller everything is reversible if you want to return car to stock say for trade in,

Order info is on web site; You would be responsible for shipping or help me with it. Obviously the standard $35 we charge does not apply. Just figure actual shipping cost + $20 for handling.

We had to develop AN fittings for the Chiller Tank so we are making our own AN fittings now. These make O-ring connection to the Chiller Core and will find there way to Freon side of all Super Chiller kits now. We can do AN fittings on water side as well as an upgrade to use braided hoses.

Any chance you have a diagram of how this thing is configured?

This would be very helpful. All of the different install pics make it look much more complicated and pieced together than it probably really is

EDIT: This diagram was de-branded to post on forums I don’t sponsor just substitute Super Chiller for AC exchanger.

Here is diagram of water side of Super Chiller; the Freon side simply makes 1 connection to High side and 1 connection to Low side. The performance is a given with intercooler water temps around 50deg. The beauty of system is in the quality and factory like aluminum lines, CNC adapters and custom fit to each model car approach we take. We guarantee minimum of 50deg reduction of ICWT.

The pictures posted above are for the Chiller Tank coming out now. We are very pleased with advances made going to O ring Freon connections to all chiller cores using custom or modified AN fittings. Most of our kit is either modified parts or completely fabricated for this application.

Post #1 in this thread shows great examples of a Camaro kit and Super Chiller also examples of Freon connections.

Re: 09+ CTS V wanted for first Original Super Chiller

Here is the first Chiller Tank to ship. This thing is going to make an insane amount of cold water, some people still put ice in these.

Next one is going to be same size as a 78 series battery with a standard radiator cap on it. We can also do custom size Chiller Tanks as well. Fittings can be on either side or even bottom. For example you could put Battery size tank under hood with hoses out of bottom hidden.

Water enters tank then goes through core same as a Super Chiller and exits core same as a Super Chiller but stainless steel core is submerged in water as well for 100% cooling capacity!

If I may offer some advice?

Spend some time creating a diagram that looks professional if your goal is to be viewed as a professional. Put simply, your diagram looks amatuerish. This will cause your potential customers to question the professionalism and quality of your actual product. Replace the word "Blower" with "Supercharger" to minimize confusion as a normal A/C system also has a blower (the fan which is coupled to the evaporator for the cabin A/C) .

If your question is about having a Super Chiller and Chiller Tank you wouldn’t. Super chiller is insulated intended to frame mount. Chiller Tank would replace a remote ice box.
