Datalog it first to see how the tune is running as is. If the ST KNK is high, then yeah, get a custom tune. If the ST KNK is under 2, then it's not necessary. 0 would be ideal though.

    Re: Diablosport Trinity

I'm thinking about purchasing the DiabloSport T1000 Trinity for my 2011 CTS-V. Can I expect a pre-packaged Performance Tune for more horse power, does it do anything for automatic transmissions, if not is there another product to firm up shifts and what hp gain can I expect with a performace tune. Only mod to the stock CTS-V is Airrad intake.

Yep, I've been leaning towards the Trinity too... But, I've been searching the hell out of the boards trying to figure out who has it, do they have a pulley, what power are they making with it and are they happy. Looks like most people favor HPTuners or EFI Live.

In late May, I am headed out to a test and tune to compare three canned tunes (w4me, trinity and high tech) and a dyno'd tune. I have HP Tuners and a wide band logger. Should be an insightful comparison.

Do you have a link to the thread? Any interest in sharing your tune? What mods you have?

For now I am using the base diablo tune.

    Thanks!

How's the base tune treating you? - Do you have an automatic?

It seems to be pretty good.. Its a noticeable improvement.. I had the Diablo laying around so figured might as well give it a shot. I plan on getting a real tune at some point but this works for now.

Nope, I got it, plugged it in, loaded the performance tune and started monitoring the IAT temps while I drive.
    Been stable ever since.
