2011 CTS-V Sport Wagon Texas Mile Results (Video)

I had a lot of fun at the Texas Mile this past weekend. I made a few warm-up runs on Friday and then made my last pass on Saturday morning as I had to drive back home for some family commitments. Here is my final pass:

There were at least another half dozen guys running their V's there. I met several of them and all were great guys. Sorry I am not good at remembering names. But I wanted to say hi to those who were there running their V's. I hope we can get together and do it again sometime soon.

Wow, 134mph in the 1/4 and 189mph in the mile is crazy in a v-wagon, especially automatic. How much rwhp? Nitrous?

The 1/4 mile time is even more impressive than the mile time.

I was there running my car and watched him run a 173mph his first run I assume this was all motor. He then ran a 125 shot of nitrous on his last run for his fastest run of the day. the fastest non nitrous cts v ran 181 with methanol and 2400 supercharger. I ran 179.3 on stock 1900 super charger plus cam and injectors. Great cars and great guys all of them. I cant what till next october.

Now it makes sense. I didn't believe a cts-v wagon could go 189mph in the mile without nitrous.

Re: 2011 CTS-V Sport Wagon Texas Mile Results (Video)

My Hammer Wagon made 632 rw hp on 11.5 psi boost and 686 rw hp with a 75 shot. I rarely put gas on my cars. But in this case, I decided to upgrade my wagon about 2 weeks before the race. Which did not allow enough time to build a twin turbo system which would have easily given me the power to hit my target speed of 190 mph. So I had my guys install our V700 kit on my wagon at the last minute. The gas was added to help offset the headwind and warm / humid conditions. The car ran 183 mph without the gas. Not too bad for my 4400 lb daily driver - which I also drove home after the event.

Looking forward to going back next March and seeing if I can go a bit faster. Just not sure if I want to install the 6-point rollcage that is required to run at speeds over 190 mph. So I will be happy with 189.7 mph for now.
