    ^^^^
I have been trying to get out of that habit and thought I had succeeded when I purchased my V. I promised myself: a car I don't have to mod! Yeah, right.....

Sigh. I'm lucky it was just the CAI and pulley this time. I'm actually satisfied with that, for once.

What should I expect to pay for a 2.55, CAI and a tune?

Thru me, the stock looking upper 2.55 pulley is 100 bucks, a cold air is 350, and a tune is 125 if in person. 250 for a dynotune. Or 400 for a handheld that holds 3 tunes set to your mods..

900 miles is all that separates me from these goodies.

Roughly 3 hours for me (from the Western Suburbs) and don't forget the 1 hour time zone change if you have an appointment scheduled for a specific time.

I think the tune is actually the ECM flashing and the dynotune is the actually measuring the power at the wheel (generating the chart).

    HTH,

dyno tune is flashing your ECM and adjusting your car to the best for it by what the dyno says.

Mail order is the SCT handheld that jesse sends, and then has it programmed to a General tune (say 90% of what you might get if you dyno'd it) Jesse knows the values on the computer to set, and then the computer does the rest so it's a pretty good general tune.

I'm not sure what he means by the in person for 125.... unless it's just tuning it while he drives it for 125.... I know the dynotune, and then the mail order.... those are no brainers...

Why did you quote my screen name as making that post when I didn't?

I know the difference between the two.
