Based on some interest that several members have expressed, I'm going to start and maintain a list of 2009+ CTS-V's 1/4 mile stats and modifications. Hopefully I can get this stickied.

The updated list will always be in this first post (I'll update the linked .jpg offline), and will be sorted by 1/4 mile ET:

If you want to make a submission, please include the following:

1) An image of your Timeslip
2) The Density Altitude (DA). If you don't know it give me the track name, date and time of your run and I'll look it up
3) The Letter abbreviations of all the mods that were on your car for that run from the list above (if I missed any MAJOR ones, let me know).

Here's a sample:

DA - 906 Feet
Mods - A-B-C-I-L

I'll do my best to keep the list updated real-time, but at times it might take me a day or so to get your info incorporated into the list. This format always seemed to be the most popular on other sites I'm a member of.

Maybe I can provide some info on what worked for my 2012 CTS-V Coupe with automatic. I'm not sure if you want to include my time slip in the chart, I do have 11 inch rear rims and 345 30 19 Nitto drag radials. List of mods: W4M heat exchanger - D3 aluminum radiator - 160 stat - AiRaid CAI - 8.66 lower pulley - W4M SCT tune [Max 91 octane for CA] - 1.85 rockers - BB Sport cat back exhaust - and as I said 345 30 19 Nitto drag radials [only fit on the Coupe] - rims are 11 inch with 50 mm offset. This car dyno's at 527 RWHP/510 RWT [Dynojet dyno 64 degrees]. I believe the torque reading is low because of the BB sport exhaust system. I love the sound and lack of drone, but unless you really make some BIG HP you will gain a few HP and lose Torque [in my case I think about 20 ft/lbs. This car on a good DA and well prepped track runs 11.59 @ 121 MPH. I really wanted to limit this engine to 12 lbs of boost [cast pistons and all] so I choose to work on it's limitations of air flow, not just keep raising the boost level. Headers are just too noisey for me, but they sure would help it breathe. 11.59 @ 121 is pretty stout for 91 octane IMHO. Next is a ported throttle body/snout and supercharger inlet and lid spacer and a 93 octane tune, hoping for another 20 to 30 HP. We'll see soon. Ah! DA was 225 on the posted time slip, ABCDEKLR. An added note: I reduced the rear camber from 1.5 degrees to 1 degree and it improved traction a bunch. I would have gone to .5 degrees but ran out of adjustment. It's worth doing, traction is limited with these beasts.

I've got a 2012 coupe that I drag race. Best I think to stage at idle and just hammer it in drive. It's what most all drivers are doing and quicker than paddle shifting. I'd use sport mode and turn traction control off. I would recommend a Wait4Me tune, it also tunes the transmission computer for a firmer shift and at the correct RPM. If you read post 537 you will see what I've done to the car, not stock at all. 121 mph @ 11.59 ET. A stocker on a good density altitude and a well preped track should run low 12's on street tires. Have fun!

Here's a pointer to Jesse Bubbs Dynojet run of a stock CTS-V vs his tune. http://www.dragtimes.com/2009-Cadillac-CTS-V-Dyno-Results-Graphs-17324.html. Well worth doing IMO, you won't believe the change a tune makes. It's like a completely different car with 50 more HP at the motor. Cheapest mod you can make and the most bang for the buck.
If I read the graph correctly it is saying at about 4,000 RPM the motor is starting to flatten out and that would be where I would want to shift?:hmm:

I'm new to this forum. Ran the CTS V Coupe today at Famoso Drag Strip (Bakersfield, Ca). Car is a new 2012 (bought in Jan 2013, 17 miles). Car is stock, 6-speed manual, stock tires , about 3500 miles now. Made 5 passes today

Run 1: 10:38 am, 68 degrees, DA 1507, 60' 2.142, 1/8th 8.188 @ 92.09, 1/4 Mile 12.415 @ 116.89.
Run 2: 11:28 am, 69.1 degrees, DA 1599, 60' 2.059, 1/8th 8.135 @ 91.22, 1/4 Mile 12.379 @ 116.47.
Run 3: 12:30 pm, 73 degrees, DA 1870, 60' 2.169, 1/8th 8.211 @ 92.21, 1/4 Mile 12.420 @ 117.16.
Run 4: 2:25 pm, 78.1 degrees, DA 2241, 60' 2.044, 1/8th 8.132 @ 91.38, 1/4 Mile 12.386 @ 116.16. (getting warmer)
Run 5: 2:46 pm, 78.1 degrees, DA 2241, 60' 2.034, 1/8th 8.170 @ 90.83, 1/4 Mile 12.439 @ 115.60. ( a little heatsoak, hot lap, they were about to close down the lanes.)

So best ET 12.379, best mph 117.16.
