Congrats, well done. That must have put a smile on your face!

Did you do anything different with your launch technique this time ?

Was the 91 Performance Tune on Firm Shift with the new Diablo Sport handheld unit ?

Thanks. Yes, I finally got it! Nothing different. I just managed to hook. The previous 2 times I did a 1.94 60'. This was on Firm Shift, noticed it was very smooth and loaded the Hard Shift for the next 2 runs. The 2 runs after, I couldn't hook and was getting 2.00 and 2.1 60's and hanging into 4th gear.

Sorry if I missed it from a previous thread but your 11.75 run was with the new Diablo Sport hand held unit ?

If you drop the tire pressure down on your drag radials to around 20 psi it should help your 60' time.

BTW, would you happen to know off hand what your 199.83 and 158.85 KMH converts to in terms of MPH in the 1/8 and 1/4 ?

I think the below should be a close conversion...

    199.83 kph equals 124.16 mph

    158.85 kph equals 98.70 mph

    LitiGATOR,

For your result to be valid, you will need more evidence than a simple time slip. We need a video from the other car on the track, a Bugatti Veyron sighting and corroboration from witnesses. Uh, oh ya, got all that.

That is one fine result! Again, congrats.

Re: 1/4 Mile ET & Modifications List

Went to ATCO raceway today and ran my coupe for the first time...bone stock, nothing on it....not even an intake....street tires, auto, and a full tank of gas....did 12.5@116 with a 2.12 60ft (horrible) the other time on this slip on the left was a bone stock sedan who revealed to me the existence of the sport shift (moving the knob over to the right and letting it shift by itself) i was just leaving it in drive and putting it in competition mode....too bad he told me this as i was leaving the strip....guess next time i will know better

Re: 1/4 Mile ET & Modifications List

On February 24, 2012, I attended the Southeast CTS-V Drag Race Event at Palm Beach International Raceway in Florida, an event attended by over 20 V's. My bone stock 2011 CTS-V sedan (automatic transmission, Michelin PS2 tires) posted the fastest bone stock eighth and quarter mile ET / MPH (1.875 60 foot, 7.831 @ 92.68 MPH eighth mile, 12.023 @118.02 quarter mile). On that run, the density altitude was 1500 feet, the temperature was 85 degress and the humidity was 52%. (See attached Time Slip.) Please post this run. Thanks.

    CTS-V Time Slip 002.jpg

I took three other quarter mile passes at the event, which were as follows: (12.024 @ 117.44 MPH, 12.110 @ 118.17 MPH and 12.117 @ 117.04. The density altitude was 1917 feet, the temperature was 91 degrees and the humidity was 31% on the last run.
