Re: 1/4 Mile ET & Modifications List

Wannago, if I may suggest: try dropping the rear tire pressure down to 25 psi and don't be afraid to to do a healthy burnout ( as in don't be afraid to create some real tire smoke). Also, try letting the tires spin their way out of the burnout box as opposed to simply taking your foot off the gas and driving slowly out of the burnout box to the starting line. ( Don't be afraid to be aggressive, the car can more than handle it). FWIW, I've found the Michelin PS2's seem to like heat in them.

Another item you may wish to try, is, putting a bag of ice on top of the engine after you take the plastic shroud off in order to cool "things" down. Everything you can do to counter heat soak is to your benefit. Ideally the top of the engine where you had the ice bag should basically feel lukewarm to cool to the touch.

When on the return road try turning on your A/C which will turn on both cooling fans and help to cool things down a bit .

I'd say you did very good...Congrats....untill they deliver mine !
I plan to improve on that time with MT's, CAI, 2.55 and a dyno tune for the next time out. Couple that with a decent 1200 DA, and things should shake out nicely. Stainless works after that (full exhaust) then I will be done with my daily driver.

I do have to say that launching the V2 is light years better than my V1 even with updated diff bushing, GForce axles, improved control arms and cradle bushings. This thing jumps out so much better it actually surprised me.

Re: 1/4 Mile ET & Modifications List

So a couple weeks ago, as posted above, I ran a 13.02 @ 110.74. Basically stock (auto), with only an Airaid CAI.

This week I got my tune from Jesse, so I decided to try it out on the track tonight.

As with my last outing, my first run of the night was my best.

    I ran a 12.769 @ 111.95, with a horrible DA of 4975'.

    (Thanks Jesse!)

Congrats on cracking the 11's with a cold air intake and tires! Very nice. I am hoping to have a similar experience tomorrow night.

    Congrats Tedboss1, very impressive numbers!
I ordered a '12 Vagon and should get it by the end of Sept. Guess I'll see you at Napierville sometime in Oct when I'll test to find oput what my stock times will be, before winter.

    Claude.
    You will love the V.
There is so much power that I needed to get 19 inch MT DR's to get into 11th.

Re: 1/4 Mile ET & Modifications List

Here is my latest with a DA of 2500 feet. My mods are A, C, D. (MT 305/35-19). Temps were decent but it was very humid with drizzle and haze so intercooler was a little overworked

The cool item was lining up against a CTS-V Coupe with A,B,C,E,K,L,T (as far as I good gather in the few conversations) and beat him both times. To be fair, he was new to the car and the track. With a little coaching, he got it down to 12.2. Here are those two timeslips with my best of the day highlighted in yellow).
