Based on some interest that several members have expressed, I'm going to start and maintain a list of 2009+ CTS-V's 1/4 mile stats and modifications. Hopefully I can get this stickied.

The updated list will always be in this first post (I'll update the linked .jpg offline), and will be sorted by 1/4 mile ET:

If you want to make a submission, please include the following:

1) An image of your Timeslip
2) The Density Altitude (DA). If you don't know it give me the track name, date and time of your run and I'll look it up
3) The Letter abbreviations of all the mods that were on your car for that run from the list above (if I missed any MAJOR ones, let me know).

Here's a sample:

DA - 906 Feet
Mods - A-B-C-I-L

I'll do my best to keep the list updated real-time, but at times it might take me a day or so to get your info incorporated into the list. This format always seemed to be the most popular on other sites I'm a member of.

Newcadman - what kind of 60 foot range do you normally get? 1.7 is awesome on the stock tires. What were your other runs like that day?

Prior to the 11.67 run I had an 11.73 pass with a 1.75 60' . As you know a lot depends on track prep, but the 60' times I have seen with the RE11s range from a previous best of 1.74 up to 1.81.

BTW, I lowered the the tire pressure down to 23 psi on the 11.67 pass which was the first time I had ever gone that low. Prior to that I had been running with 25-26 psi . I now wonder what kind of 60' could possibly be had with an even lower psi ?

FWIW, since it was mentioned by a friend with a Grand National that the RE11s like to be hot to perform well I really heat them up in the burn out box.

Again FWIW, if I recall correctly I believe member "1sensei" mentioned recently he recorded a 1.74 60' with his Hankook street tires when he ran his 11.90 time. However I think the best 60' time I can remember seeing on street tires was by member " BLitzkrieg" who apparently had a 1.67 60' while using stock size Federal street tires !

Guys,

I don't have complete information from a few of you to complete your entry. I need the following info:

smackdownCTSV - The track you ran at and date/time to calculate a DA

Dale Pittman - The track you ran at and a date/time to calculate a DA

BOYCHIKS - What type of trans is in your car and the track you ran at and date/time to calculate the DA

cobrasvt1 - What date/time you ran your car so I can calculate the DA for Atco when you ran.

Thanks.

If you drop the tire pressure down on your drag radials to around 20 psi it should help your 60' time.

BTW, would you happen to know off hand what your 199.83 and 158.85 KMH converts to in terms of MPH in the 1/8 and 1/4 ?
