    Rented C7 Stingray

I rented a 2014 Stingray this past weekend for a birthday present to myself ....what a car! I'm so in love that a part of me wish I waited and bought one instead of the V coupe. Then again, the V is much more comfortable as a daily driver and I can actually fit 2 people in the back with my problem. I was out and about in Boston with the Vette and people were going nuts! Running up to me at traffic lights asking me questions and so forth! People will have to do be real stupid to buy a lambo, Porsche or Ferrari over this car! I have driven all those cars and the Corvette is hands down better looking in my opinion and is on par performance wise.

We had one recently for a couple weeks. Couldn't agree with you more.

    Great car!

I'll be looking forward to the Z06 and that new 8 speed transmission.

    Kind regards,

A friend of mine has one that I drove recently.

I was very impressed with it and I really like the updated electronics, but I didn't have the slighted pang to trade my V in for one.

Also in a few months the Vettes will be very common and my V coupe will still be less so.

    Very true.

    Moreover, I wouldn't trade a V for the new C7.
It would be best to have both!

I'll bet I'm 10:1 Stingray to V ratio here. At least.

The C7 is a great sports car! But I believe that the manual V2 is still the best sedan GM ever made. I love my 2009 and will drive it beyond 100,000 miles until I find something better. Nothing compares for a lot of reasons.

Could not have said it better myself, Michael.
I'm very much enjoying the C7 AND the V.

I love the C2 and C5 'Vettes, appreciated the C6 ZR1, but never considered buying one, but the C7 Z06, in the right color and without the Z07 package...

I'm making a point since the V2 is technically a C6 with a Cadillac body and both the caddy and Vette are GM cars, if you got a problem don't read the thread then.

You are a 100% right! I see more C7s than the V coupes. I was in Boston last night and a guy had a black on red with black wheels C7. He was more impressed with my V coupe than his own Vette!

I have been going to Lingenfelter's Cars and coffee for the last month or so. Usually there is only one other guy who brings a V but a few times I have had the only V there, yet there have been progressively more C7s.

Yesterday there were two Vs and at least 6 or 7 C7s.

Philosophically maybe, but technically a completely different animal. A C6 ZR1 with a Cadillac body would've been a follow-on to the XLR-V, which I think would've been pretty neat. Too bad the XLR-V just had so much going against it.

Thinking of moving from a V to a Volt? You may need to ask your doctor if it's time for AndroGel! LOL
