    Re: Rented C7 Stingray

Sold my V about 2 weeks ago and went over to the Chevy dealership that week and placed an order for a C7. Loved the Cadillac, but I really missed so much about my C6 and the Stingray fixed so many complaints.

<$79K for the Z06 makes it the most compelling Corvette ever for the money. Just read up on the LT4 and the power under the curve is going to make this thing unbelievable.

You gotta know some stealerships will use that crappy tactic to take advantage of the will powered impaired.

Still have my V, but, I'm loving the C7!
However, perhaps I should have waited for the 2015 and 8-speed transmission?

Once again, perhaps I purchased the C7 too soon?
Though, to afford the Z06, the V would have to go.
And, I'm not prepared to do that.

I love my V. Period. It is the ultimate commuter/daily driving sleeper. Cops could care less about it. I'm not getting rid of it anytime soon. In fact, its time to start the mods!

But, I am thinking, a new Z06 may be in my future Gorgeous, snarling, beast of a car, but i dunno... it's sure to attract tons of police attention.

Given the cost is similar I would get the Z28 over the Z06, but I'm not sure why.

Love them both...but me neither. If I were faced with this dilemma, Vette all the way.

Of course 99% of the Z06's sold will be significantly more expensive than a Z28.
Unless you order a base Z06 to get the $79k price tag, it is extremely unlikely you'll find one on the lot that doesn't have extra goodies that will quickly shoot the price up to $90k or higher.
For the money the C7 Z06 is a real bargain compared to Euro performance cars but, cannot realistically be compared with the Z28 when it comes to price.
If $ weren't a consideration I'd go with the Z06 everyday and twice on Sunday!

Plenty of dealers with large allocations willing to let you order one. Maybe not their first one, but one none the less.

No doubt, but how many would purchase a base Z06, when for $8k more they can have the Z07 package?
That's like going to Baskin Robbins and ordering a plain vanilla ice cream cone.
Delicious by itself, but much better dipped in chocolate and covered with sprinkles!

    Re: Rented C7 Stingray

Pretty easy to determine.....how many 1LZ Z06's and ZR1's were sold? Plenty. As for me, I'd have to have the Z07 pkg.
