    Tires

Well ive tried them all it seems. Pissed it took me this long. Ive tried OEM 285/35 Pilot Sports, 285/35 SS, 295/35 SS, 305/35 Mickey Thompson's, and 305/30 SS. Just put on 305/35 Nitto NT05. They work great. Ive got about 650whp. I was so tired of the back wheels spinning I was ready to go aftermarket rim sizes. Glad I found something that works thats not a drag radial.

    Re: Tires

    CavemanB52,
Thanks for the update, I wonder how they would fit on the sedan's 9.5" rims?
    Thanks again for your post.

Yes... I should put that caveat out there. I have a coupe. So 10" rims. But I do know that the 305/35 Mickey Thompson's fit on the 9.5" rim even though its not recommended. Fast Matt in Alamogordo uses them on his stock sedan rims and he seems to like them. But those are drag radials. And for daily driving... drag radials are not for me.

BTW Fast Matt is running over 900 hp

I've been impressed with the simple swap from PS2s to Super Sports even with the stock size. Granted I'm not making 650whp but it hooks much better.

I noticed an improvement to SS over the PS2s also. But after I modified the car actually became slower due to traction issues. Very frustrating.

Thanks for the tip. Their site says 10" minimum, so I would think that a 9.5" wouldn't be that bad of a stretch.

Yeah. I watched Fast Matt run an 11.6 in a sedan in Roswell NM on a 90degree night with 305/35 Mickey Thompson's. Probably close to 7000' density altitude. Stock sedan rims and about 700hp at the time. He has since gone to 900+hp running the same tire. But I haven't seen him lay down a run since the upgrades
