I am under the impression that the complete rear end, drum to drum, is a GM purchased item and therefore it is considered a "non-serviceable" item. Same as supercharger. This is why the supercharger is replaced and not repaired by GM. GM Customer Service, please correct if this is incorrect.

Congrats, Shawn! Nice color, and the best pic was the shifter pic. Of course, I'm biased, having a similar shifter to play with.

The low diff on delivery issue has been a issue since 2009. It is unreasonable that despite complaints on the forums for SIX years this issue has not been addressed, or if addressed (which is more likely IMHO), not addressed adequately. I, myself, had my diff oil changed early in ownership (less than 5k miles) because I wanted to be sure. My service advisers scratched their heads over why I'd want it done, but they took my money and did it. In retrospect, I should have done it on the day of delivery.

Yes this is true about the rear end. That was my experience when I got mine replaced when it had only 4000 miles or so. But as much he'll as I went through the first year getting my V right. I gotta say it was worth the pain. Cause then I got it right and felt safe to modify. The only thing I've had problems with now is wanting to drive it too much. Which may have caused my latest long term issue I'm having and that's the leather on the manual shifter knob wearing off. Im on my third one. I might go aftermarket shiny skull. Tacky I know but I can be tacky sometimes. Anyone know where I can find one that snaps on like ours?

I would rather do 4 months without sex than 2 months without my V.

I'm not sure if that says something about the car or your significant other...

My '09 CTS-V is my significant other.
Couldn't afford a real significant other.
