Where to find the CTS-V manual shifter "fork"?

    Hi all,

On my M6 CTS-V, the part under the shifter, the metal fork broke. GM Wants to charge me $480 for this piece. Anyone know where to get one used, or have an OEM shifter for sale? I cant find one to save my life.

    Thanks

    Warranty??????

There's a TSB on '09 and early '10's to replace this.

    Machine shop?

    What does it look like?

Have you checked Rock Auto? They have nice drill down menus.

    Go here:

    http://rktperformance.com/contact/

Email this dude. Send him a pic. He's a manual transmission expert. He will tell you what you need. He might have some TR-6060 parts lying around.

I trust this guy to do brain surgery on me.

junkyard? But if they have one, it will be in a tranny.....and they will want to sell the whole tranny. But if there is a TSB....a dealer might be able to cover it as a warranty job even for an off warranty car......maybe.....not sure of the "rules" on that.

Re: Where to find the CTS-V manual shifter "fork"?

    Thanks for everyones help.

I called RKT, they had nothing.

Tried 3-4 junkyards that specialize in CTS-Vs, they include them all with the drop outs.

Tried the forums, but since they are factory short throw, there is no aftermarket, and no one ever replaces them.

I am at a loss. If anyone has any other ideas, I'd be happy to hear. Thanks again.

I agree that it looks like you are at a loss. A $480 loss, to be precise...unless a dealer is willing to do an off-warranty TSB repair for a bargain.....
