    OK, back on track:

Fuel costs for V from 2013 from my tracker on Fuelly:

    $3.78
    Avg. Price/Gallon

    $56.61
    Avg. Price/Fuel-up

    $0.254
    Avg. Price/Mile

    $4,302.63
Total cost of fuel in 2013

    Insurance was around $1200

License and registration was $54, personalized plates $25 (Thank goodness I live in Ohio, but then we have an income tax. )

Maintenance was $120; that was for a rear diff oil change at 5k miles. I am under warranty and got oil changes for free under Cadillac Shield.

Smiles every time I shift or press the accelerator: PRICELESS.

It cost me $21 to renew the tag on my 12 coupe. We don't have ad valorem here anymore. Sales tax replaced by a title tax as a one time fee.

Much less than the therapy sessions I'd need if I didn't have one.

Ha! This is why I ride motorcycles but seems like a great car would provide some other benefits.

Ergo my screen name. You never see a motorcycle parked in front of a psychiatrist office...

My experience induces me to say that this is a function of how fast you want her to go at the track

They charge you for putting out your fire. Ask me how I know.

Answer: a corvette in our garage caught fire and burned the house down. Fire department sent us a bill.

how much did they charge you? I wouldn't mind lowering taxes and charging per use of all services.

Did your insurance pick up the tab for all, or part of what they charged you?

Talk about adding insult to injury....isn't that what your taxes are for? In my suburb we specifically pay a separate property tax just for safety forces. I'd be PISSED if I got a bill given what I pay for that tax.

My son got hurt playing a hockey game. Ambulance was called and he was carried off on a stretcher and taken to the ER (he ended up being OK). Got a Bill for the ambulance ride.
