Started with a DA, followed with some sage advice and witty comments, then a braggart, someone who called out the braggart, then some more fun comments.
    About normal I'd say.

Very accurate. I just have a hard time letting skews from the truth go. I see enough of that. And no one says a damn word. I guess I just got tired of it.

I had the car sideways at 80 mph yesterday power sliding with smoke coming off the tires, oh what a great feeling.
I laugh anytime I hear someone say they were purposely powersliding at high rates of speed.

Because unless you have a large empty auction lot to do this, you can't on any public way. Also, only those with the utmost talent can do this. I can't do this.

Powersliding at 20mph? Maybe. At 80? Knock it off.

depends on your tire rubber, the goodyear GT 2 tires I have on the goat are like driving on ice with all its power, you can smoke them up at will.

Those srt owners are brutal...especially the chargers. I can't pass one without them trying to cut me off or run a stop light to catch me and race...

    Re: Highway Driving

OH that reminded me of something that happened once. I was on surface streets near my house, 2 lanes going each way, and I was behind a couple other cars at a 4 way stop. There had just been some cross traffic so the cars in front of me had waited and were about to go, and I saw in my rear view a Dodge Magnum SRT8 that was tearing up behind us REALLY fast. He was behind me in my lane at first, then swerved over to the left and got into the left hand turn lane, and just blew straight through the stop sign and kept going straight from the left hand turn lane.

He was going at least 60-70 mph through the intersection, which was a 4 way stop, and in a 45 zone. I was stopped the whole time, just sitting behind the car in front of me. Since there had just been some cross traffic a few seconds before, he was just lucky he didn't kill somebody, or himself.

    Re: Highway Driving

getting back to the original post....it seems that he is on a 7 hour highway ride, and keeps getting challenged. So he is already doing.....70? And he says he starts "racing" in a CTSV and doesn't get over 90? C'mon. Something is all amiss. If I am doing 70 in my V and I sneeze, I am suddenly doing 90. He either was not racing, or is full of carp.

Street racing of any kind is dangerous; street racing with wife and kid in car is stupid.
OK, street racing is stupid,too.....but to sit here and deny ever doing it (though not for many years) would be lying.

Now we can return to the Shelby debate. (RIP Carroll)

Love to debate and talk about cars... But when you start to insult people. The debate is over. I've proved my point here.

I'm off to cars and coffee in a few minutes in Henderson. See you there.
